Flash AKA Biscuit

6/28/07: Flash is now just over a year old and patiently waiting for a pemanant home. He is a big boy ~90# that's as laid back as they come that loves children ,other dogs and cats...the vet even accused him of being lazy! He is family oriented and a big lug perfect for someone looking for a good house dog not requiring alot of activity. If you tend to stroll through life rather than grabbing it by the horns and taking off, our Flash may be perfect for you!
11/25/2006 This is one of the favorite pups at the foster farm home. He is a wonderful guy that follows you where ever you go and is very happy at your feet when sitting on the couch. Flash, re-named from "Dukes of Hazzard" by his foster father is just waiting for his time for a fur ever home!10/7/06: We still have most of these babies left and can't understand why so we thought we should take the time to explain a bit more about their personalities... They are definitely hound mixes but their temperaments are very mellow and loving more like large basset hounds rather than the typical nose hound. They long for human companionship and don't tend to have the wandering instinct that beagles have...to sum it up, they are more home bodies than hound buddies and we expect them to be 50+ # when full grown; the perfect size for cuddling! If you like the sad eyes and floppy ears of a hound, but have been looking for a cuddle buddy, our "B" litter may be perfect for you!
9/5/06: This is our newest litter of pups and they are absolute doll babies! We have been getting call after call these days wanting us to take puppies...we're doing our best to keep up and ALWAYS try to help locally before getting animals from out of state unlike some other rescues who strictly pull dogs and puppies from the South while turning their backs on dogs from their own back yards. This litter was the 5th from a dog in Oswego County...we are trying to coerce their former owners into letting us get the momma spayed so she can live out the rest of her life in peace. Unfortunately, not everyone believes in spaying and neutering their pets. Mom was a hound mix ~60# and dad was one of the labs next door so these will be large dogs when full grown. They are currently 10 wks old and will be ready to go after 9/15 once they have had their rabies vaccines and are spayed/neutered. With faces like these, we know we won't have them for long so if you're thinking about taking one of them home, don't hesitate to contact us. The adoption donation for puppies is $225 to help defray veterinary expenses and buy food for all those we are caring for. Using over 100# of puppy chow a month, we would greately appreciate it if adopters would bring a bag with them to donate when they come to pick up their new family member. Thanks in advance!

We get dozens of emails and phone calls each day with only an hour of "free time" to volunteer and answer them around our full-time jobs and family life...don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application.

Adoptions limited to a 500 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes.
