My Story

Any one interested in a challenging game of chess? Fischer (named for Bobby Fischer) is a male Beagle/Feist (Rat Terrier) mix who is estimated at 9 mths of age. Fischer came to a rural Ky shelter as a stray but we are not sure why as he is an extremely nice dog and has obviously had a family in the past. Fischer, though just your typical brown KY dog on the outside, is much more than that on the inside (After all, how many chess playing dogs do you know?). He is extremely loyal and loving and is the ultimate companion dog. He is small medium in size, weighing around 30 lbs and would make the perfect house companion. He is not a barker and though he loves to play with other dogs, he is not an overly rowdy boy either. He is just a great dog who is getting little attention because he is not a puppy and he is not a toy breed and his brown coloring does not draw attention to him. What Fischer lacks in overwhelming beauty, he makes up for with his large heart and strong intelligence and sweetness! Fischer is current on vaccinations and dewormings and will be neutered prior to leaving the shelter. To find out more about Fischer, please email or call Kim Perry at (606) 638-0512.
