My Story

What's prettier than a field of blooming fireweed during an Alaska summer? Fireweed from the Alaska Blooms Litter!! This adorable gal was born April 15th and is supposedly a Mini Australian Shepherd/Pitbull/Great Pyrenees mix. Fireweed is a sweet little love. She will snuggle up to anyone and stay until the pets stop, so please don't stop!! She's doing well with her puppy training and has learned sit, off, kennel. She's now working on down (lay) and stay. She loves kids and loves toys! She will chew on things, mostly shoes, if she doesn't have one of her toys nearby but does great once redirected. She's catching on to potty-training quickly with only a couple accidents per week and is kennel-trained. She does well with other dogs of all ages and sizes, along with cats cows, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. Perfect! Adopt Fireweed & go spend the rest of the summer enjoying Alaska blooms!! Before considering adding Fireweed to your family, please note that KPAL Rescue has a mandatory adoption process in place which includes a home visit. More information on our adoption process can be found in our pinned post, please read that (and this adoption post) in their entirety - our process cannot be waived. We do not ship our animals and we do not allow for third-party transportation. As a pup, her new family should expect LOTS of training and patience while she learns potty-training, socialization, kennel-training, manners, and other life skills. Our adoption process is outlined on our website: www.kpalrescue.org/pet-adoption/, our Adoption Application can also be found on that website. Please direct questions regarding adoption to [email protected]. The Alaska Blooms Litter will be foster-to-adopt until spayed/neutered (once complete, the Adoption Contract will be finalized). KPAL Rescue puppies are vetted (age-appropriately vaccinated, microchipped, etc.) and are required to be spayed/neutered (a Foster-to-Adopt Contract will need to be signed at the event and the surgery date will be scheduled at that time). There will be an adoption fee of $350 + tax so that we can continue to help other animals in need. As always, donations are also very appreciated. Please share. #kpalrescue
