Fiona

Fiona has thee most beautiful coloring! It's difficult to see in the pictures, but her face is like soft chocolate with white under her chin and her body has a golden tint on each side with a wide black stripe down the center of her back. And she is sweet, sweet, sweet! Fiona is suspected to be a Mountain Feist / Lab mix. Feists have a very interesting personality. They are curious about everything and extremely intelligent! Although they are lap dogs, they are absolutely intent on playing and expending energy. When they decide that it is time to sleep, they definitely will do so, curling up on a lap and sleeping soundly. They are very protective around the people they know best. Be prepared for an energetic yet controllable dog with a devoted and loving personality.Fiona comes from a facility in Southern Illinois that suffered heavy flooding from torrential March rains. All the animals had to be evacuated and somehow during the hectic evacuation, Fiona’s right, rear leg was fractured. It must remain in a cast for at least 6 weeks (until ~7May). Despite her predicament, Fiona is quite playful and fun-loving. She is looking for the forever family that can look past this short time of inconvenience and love her for who she is now and when her cast comes off. Won’t you give this temporarily gimpy, gorgeous girl a chance? (P.S. We will take care of the vet bills…)
