My Story

Lovely mama FAWN is ready to find a home of her own! Our beautiful little girl came to us heavily pregnant back in April. She delivered 7 healthy puppies and did a great job raising her family, now it's time for Fawn to find a home of her own. We are pretty confident this was not Fawn's first litter of puppies but we do know it's her last. From now on Fawn gets to enjoy life as a treasured family member. Fawn is a terrier-type mixed breed girl, maybe Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier? But that's just a guess. She's probably 3-4 years old and around 18 pounds. Fawn has a lovely, friendly disposition. She's good with people of all ages, cats and other dogs. Fawn is a medium energy dog. So far she's not terribly interested in playing with other dogs. Fawn is fully housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Obviously her foster hasn't had the opportunity to work with her on crate training because Fawn was busy being an excellent mama. If you would like to meet lovely Fawn, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Mama Fawn will not be attending this week's adoption event. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog's veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog's final adoption fee.
