My Story

Rosy and her buddy Rocky (now Rueger) spent most of their young lives trapped inside a grow-op with little human exposure. When the owners went ot jail big-hearted Tami took them in. Rosk, now Eva, spent the first coupel of weeks scared and shaking in the corner, but no matter how petrified she would let you do anything with her- a good sign that she could come out of her shell. she was transferred to a second foster home to learn all about the world, and Reghan toted her about all over town. And out of her shell she has come! This short-legged mixed breed sweetie now loves playing with other dogs, going for hikes in the forest and making friends out and about. For the second time in one week one of our foster homes declared that they failed fostering 101. Eva had found her place with Reghan, Indy- a dog 3 times her size, a grumpy cat, and an even grumpier old man cockapoo. She thinks that it fits her perfectly and we are all thrilled with this match!

Eva (formerly Rosy) is a mystery mix. About 35 lbs with squat legs and a longish body, she likely has quite a few breeds in her. Our best guess (and we mean guess) is terrier x corgi x border collie or Aussie x pit and so on.

Eva is about one years old spayed female. Herself and Rocky were raised in a grow-op with little to no interaction with the outside world . Despite their pasts they are very loving and affectionate. Eva is easy-going in the house, and more active out and about. She is good with other dogs, fine with cats, and has good house manners. Since Eva has never seen much of the world she can be timid in new situations, especially around men when she first meets them. She is now good on-leash and is exclelent off-leash- she sticks to her foster mom like glue! She would do best in a quieter, gentle home with a fenced yard to play in. One with no young children since she sometimes gets over-whelmed. She would do best in a home with another dog who has good social skills, as she takes alot of her cues from her doggie foster brothers.
Update from Eva's foster mom:
Eva is doing great. Her foster brother Indy is showing her the ropes and helping her gain some confidence--she is still a little fearful but she is learning quickly that the world is no longer a scary place. We went for a nice walk and she got better every minute with her walking and confidence on leash. She met people at the shelter and a few friends of mine and she was great. She met some new dogs friends and easily adjusted. She is fanatic about her bones!
Eva is spayed, tattooed, microchipped, dewormed and deflead.
