My Story

Foster Home Needed! If you'd like to foster for Planned Pethood fill out the application at Dog Foster Application

All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

From Ernie's foster mom: You should see this beautiful puppy! He was born around the first of June and was found in October tied and abandoned in a park with no food or water. He weighed just 32 lbs. and was severely dehydrated. Couldn't even walk. Now he weighs 87 lbs., has a beautiful shiny coat and a playful and loving demeanor. Ernie is an almost-perfect dog. He's completely potty trained and sleeps quietly in his crate all night. Although, I'm sure he would love to sleep right in bed with somebody. He will sit on command. Sits politely and waits for his food dish to be put down or for doors or gates to be opened. He loves to go for walks and with the help of a Gentle Leader Head Collar rarely pulls anymore. He's learning the "down" command, but is still pretty wiggly and can't quite do it perfectly yet. He runs and plays in the yard, but the thing he likes best of all is to be with someone who loves him. He loves "cuddle time" in the evening when he gets my undivided attention. Ernie would enjoy an active family with children between the ages of 10 and grown. He was hungry for a long time so still tends to snatch at treats and might scare younger children. He is also very big and still an energetic puppy and might knock the little guys down. But if you or your big kids like to walk or run or skate or bike he would be a perfect buddy! This guy has energy to spare. Because Ernie lives with a retired obedience instructor he comes with six free one hour private obedience classes to help with his transition to a new home. Fill out an on line application and we'll give you a call so you can meet Mr. Wonderful in person today! 5/19/8 Foster-PPI-18 ID#100407.1
