Emmy is a gorgeous young lab/shepherd mix under a year old and weighing around 45 pounds. She is incredibly sweet and loves to snuggle. Emmy would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where she can burn off her energy, play fetch, and enjoy afternoon naps. She is learning to walk on a leash and enjoys car rides too!
As she is still in her puppy phase, Emmy is a chewer but can be easily redirected with bones and chew toys. She is potty-trained and is picking up basic commands quickly.
In her foster home, she has shown she is trainable and gets along well with other dogs. Emmy has a protective nature, especially when other dogs approach her foster family, but this behavior is improving as she becomes more comfortable with the resident pets. She will need a family committed to continuing her training to help her become the perfect family pet.
Emmy has been great with kids aged 5 and older. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet.
