My Story

Elwood is a tri-colored boy who came to BHRG from the shelter in Liberty County along with his friend, Jonah. He's completed treatment for heartworms and is housetrained. He is a sweet, energetic boy who does not walk anywhere... he has one speed, a trot! Elwood enjoys playing with toys, cats and dogs. One thing that makes for a good smile is when he wants the attention of another person or animal, he backs himself into them, like putting it into reverse, and says...."Hey!". What a Funny, funny boy! Elwood's foster family would not recommend him for a family with very young children as he does not like to have anyone lay on him. He has also shown alpha male syndrome, brave man, considering there's a 170lb English Mastiff in his foster home! So a home with no dogs or submissive dogs would work best for Elwood. He is ready to find that special family. For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
