My Story

As we all know, life happens and because of this we are sometimes forced to make changes or decisions we would not necessarily want to. Because of this, Elvis has found himself looking for a new family he can call his own. We have spent time with Elvis over the last year or so when he would come have sleepovers with us and he is such a sweet boy to get to know, He has a huge heart that is full of love and a soul that is ready for adventure, but wants to cuddle up at the end of an eventful day. He enjoys going for car rides and tagging along to any patio. He likes to hangout by the river but isn't a huge swimmer from we can tell. He just likes to walk in the water and wade around. We want nothing more than a perfect home for this guy and we know we can find it with the publics help. Tidbit from previous owner: We adopted Elvis when he was 12 weeks old and have loved him since the day we met him. He's the cuddliest, sweetest boy we've ever known and is only 5 years young. He enjoys going for walks, to the dog park, swimming (with a life jacket, which we'll happily provide) and did we mention cuddling? He loves to sleep in and is happy to spend his afternoons in a sunny window. He loves playing with toys and will insist on getting under the covers with you at bedtime. He’s pretty vocal and will let you know when he wants something, usually it’s attention or to sit by you. While he seems to be ok around older children, he does need to be in a home WITHOUT younger children or cats. He is great at dog parks but has a bit of leash aggression. He doesn’t love delivery drivers (mail, packages, food) so needs to be secured when they arrive. On the other hand, he loves visitors. He listens well, loves treats and car rides. A fenced backyard would be great, but we don’t have one and he has fared pretty well. We do like to take him somewhere that he can run and play about once a week. He gets regular vet visits, vaccines, and dental cleanings and is on heart worm, flea & tick medicine.
