Elly - Adopted

Arrival story: Hi, my name is Elly! I was hanging out at a shelter up north when Waggin' Tails came to give me a second chance.

Approximate age / weight: The vet thinks I'm about 3 yrs old. I weigh 43lbs, but could use a little more. Someone in my past didn't take very good care of me.

Personality: I arrived at my foster home on 12/4, so my mom is still getting to know me. But so far she thinks I'm great! I love to cuddle and give her kisses. She even lets me lay in her lap! Boy, my foster mom really knows how to make a girl like me happy!

I really want to be the best girl I can be, so I'm being a very good listener, walking very nice on my leash, and am doing a really good job of going potty outside. I sit when she asks me to and I'm trying not to jump up on her. My foster mom has another dog who wants to play with me, but until I'm all better from getting spayed, I can't play with him. For now, I'm just getting used to my new home and trying hard to show my foster mom how awesome and loving I am!

Forever home: My foster mom is still getting to know me, but I can tell you that she already knows I'm gonna need a physically fenced yard. Pointers have a high prey drive and are high energy dogs.

Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175 for adult dogs. Different adoption fees apply for older dogs, small breeds and puppies - $100 for senior dogs (9 years +), $275 for small breed dogs and $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age.
Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
