Ellie

Ellie is a vivacious, 7 year old, strawberry blond German Shepherd mix*. She is petite at 53 pounds, a very happy, loving girl, who craves human companionship! This sweetheart is very energetic, vocal, and animated (think puppy); everything's exciting! Ellie has done well with low-energy respectful dogs with slow proper introductions and with my 4 foster dogs both male and female. Ellie is very prey driven! Cats, squirrels, and lizards beware! However, we have been working on this and she is improving greatly. Ellie loves going on walks, is learning how to walk nicely on leash, and has done well on pack walks with 30+ German Shepherds through downtown Sacramento and Placerville. Ellie needs a patient adopter, preferably one who stays at home who will take the time to acclimate her to new people and to her new forever home. A calm household with children 18 years old and up who will keep her energy level down is needed...so anything to get that energy outhikes, walks, runsa tired dog is a happy dog! Ellie's forever family should have American Eskimo Dog, Chow, or German Shepherd experience. She knows sit, down, place, come when called and wait at a door.
