Ellen in MAINE

6/14/08 Ellen is in Maine now and adjusting to the cooler climate. She is so gentle and sweet and very petite. Her pictures don't do her beautiful coat and size justice. She very good with everyone and calm. Ellen hopes to find her forever home now that she is here - won't you please consider giving this specail girl a place to call her own? Ellen was very loving and sweet when she came off from transport and rode very well in the car. She is a cutie and has been waiting a long time! 5/15/08 Ellen has completed her heartworm treamtnet and would really like to find that forever home where she could get all the love she deserves. She is great with all children and other dogs but likes to chase cats. Could give her the special place she so longs for? 4/01/08: Ellen has thankfully found a foster home to recover from heartworm treatment. However, her vet bill has not yet been paid and we could really use some help here. 2/22/08: Bad news...Ellen has tested positive for heartworms. She needs some doggy angels to help her more than ever. She will need sponsor money to help pay for her treatment as well as a foster home to recover in safely. She has been through so much having to live at a shelter...do you have it in you to help a defenseless dog??? If so, please consider Ellen. Call Joan at 870-739-1145 right away. Update 1/13/08: Poor Ellen is having to live in a crate at the shelter because the shelter is full again. Ellen has definitely come out of her shell and seems to be a very good natured dog. One of the ladies that works with us seems to think that she may be in part a Podengo Portugueso. Whatever her breed is, she certainly deserves a real home. Please consider fostering her until we can find her a good home. 12/02/07: This is Ellen, a beautiful and sweet Terrier-mix. Ellen was picked up in a neighboring town and really needs to find her owner right away. She appears a bit skittish at times, but that is to be expected as she doesn't know why she ended up here.
