Meet ELLA. Your Future Furry Family Member! Ella is a stunning 5-year-old Golden Retriever with a heartwarming story of resilience and hope. After spending the first five years of her life in a kennel used for breeding, Ella’s life changed forever in November 2023, when the compassionate team at Rescue Express brought her to the safety of a loving foster home. A Journey of Healing: When Ella first arrived, she was very shut down and unsure of the world around her. Thanks to the unwavering patience and love of her foster mom, Ella is slowly starting to come out of her shell. She now ventures out of her corner on the couch, overcoming her fears one step at a time. Ella has begun to approach her foster mom for hugs and kisses, a huge milestone in her journey to feeling safe and loved. Life in Her Foster Home: Ella shares her foster home with Daisy and Lucy, two fellow survivors of breeding kennels, and Yogi, a seasoned companion. With their help, she is learning to feel safe and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Ella loves to explore the outdoors with her pack when prompted and is great about going outside to potty after her meals. Ella’s Ideal Home: Ella is looking for a forever home where she can continue her journey of healing and trust. She needs a patient and loving family who understands her past and can give her the time she needs to adjust. Ella loves her spot on the couch and enjoys sleeping. She’s still getting used to car rides and walks but is open to new experiences with gentle encouragement. Ella’s foster mom will be there to help with her transition, ensuring she feels comfortable and supported every step of the way.
