Elijah~Adopted

Elijah was a sad little hungry and scared stray when he was picked up wondering about the parking lot of a gas station looking for someone to help him and for something to eat. He was dirty, hungry and neglected, but after a good warm bath, some decent food and water, and some much needed medical attention he is now sparkling clean, smelling sweet, and living happily with his foster family and their other dogs. Elijah is friendly, sweet and gentle. He's very social and likes everyone he meets. He's active but not hyper. Elijah does not like the cold, and now that winter is here he’s always looking for somewhere to keep warm. Despite his preference for a nice warm spot, if he spots someone he loves, his tail starts wagging and he’s up on his feet to say hello. Elijah is independent rescue supported by DogsOnly, and so will not be attending the DogsOnly adoption showings at Petco in west Little Rock, but if you would like to learn more or even meet him you can send an email to [email protected]. Your application or emails will be sent to Elijah's guardians without delay. All of our young and adult dogs require a 2 week home visit before finalizing the adoption process. This is to help ensure it is a good match for all involved without making a final commitment. All of our rescues are in private homes and not available to be visited outside of showing times. All DogsOnly foster homes work with our rescues to ensure they are crate trained and most are also housetrained. None of the DogsOnly fosters have cats in their homes so we can only make our best guess as to how our rescues would do with cats. We rescue from high kill shelters and once accepted into our program, none of our rescues are euthanized. We provide for all their vet care, socialization and training until an appropriate home can be found. DogsOnly relies solely on donations and is a 501(c)3 Humane Society. Our mission is to rescue dogs that most other groups are not interested in due to their size, breed, age, health or other various reasons, and to provide education resources for dog owners and those with an interest in the wellbeing of dogs.
