Eli ADOPTED!!

ELI is a 1-1/2-year old, 50 lb. Kelpie/Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler with a bit of puppy still in him. He loves everybody but is prone to herding people or dogs which can be misinterpreted, so a home with small children is not recommended. Because of this herding instinct, he will need plenty of daily exercise or play time. ELI walks very well on leash and is housetrained. He knows "sit, shake, spin, come, off and no" and has GREAT recall. ELI loves as much attention as he can get but is happy to lie at your feet, on the couch or just in the same room with his foster parents. He crates well in the daytime with treats and toys in his crate, as he still a bit of a chewer. He sleeps on the floor next to his foster parents bed at night. Since he currently lives in a home with three other dogs, we strongly recommend at least one other dog in the home to keep him active and happy. Please contact Paul or Robin @319-437-8164. Elis' adoption fee is $90 to $150 sliding scale. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. We have an all volunteer staff so your entire fee goes straight to save AWF's rescue animals. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
