My Story

Eins is a beautiful lab-mix who came into the shelter late last year with several other dogs who were never socialized to humans and the wonderful spacious outside. He is extremely fearful of people, but staff and volunteers are working with him daily to overcome this. Although he is very scared of wide-open spaces, he loves to run around in the play yard to exercise. He does not like the leash so although we are still working with him, his new parents will have to have strong walking experience to help Eins overcome his fear of being tethered to someone. He appears to be good/curious with other dogs as they seem to calm him down. So far, we have not been able to pet Eins, but he has come a long way. He needs a very gentle but firm parent to help him navigate this very scary (in his eyes) world. Everything seems to be new to him, which speaks volumes to his life before now. He is not aggressive just fearful so you would have to go slow and steady. If you are up for a challenge of a lifetime to take in a broken little boy and build him up to be the beautiful and sweet-loving dog we KNOW he can be, please call us to set up a time to meet our boy, Eins.
