Eddie Fostered

ADOPTED 12/26/09 Eddie is a sweet and resilient little guy. He was originally dumped off at the city animal shelter, afraid, underweight, and suffering a skin infection. So not such a great beginning. However, Eddie was soon rescued out of the shelter. What struck his rescuer was his sweet pleading little eyes and snuggly response when picked up. He has been living in a foster home for the past several weeks. For a 1-yr old Jack Russell terrier/smooth fox terrier mix, Eddie can zip around the house and yard just fine on his stubby little legs. However, despite being a terrier mix, he is amazingly laid back and loves to play the part of a 12-lb lap dog. Eddie has never so much as growled at a person. He also gets along great with all the other bigger dogs in the house. His favorite buddy is a female dog who is a little larger than he is. He seems to be okay with the kitten in the house, but his interactions with cats would need to be closely monitored at first. Eddie is generally quiet, but will bark when the other dogs in the house are riled up and he wants out of his crate. Eddie is mostly crate-trained and house-trained. Eddie is up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. His skin infection is healing very well and will likely be completely resolved within a couple of weeks. If you are looking for a small dog with a gentle soul, Eddie might be your guy.
