X URGENT- 7/25 DEADLINE AT DOWNEY, CA- SEAACA KILL SHELTER- 25-00430 – SWEET BUT SHY LITTLE CHOW GIRL, “EBONY AKA BOO” LOOKS YOUNG, ONLY 38 LBS- NEEDS LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE ASAP.
Please help us find a loving, forever home (or foster and rescue) for this beautiful female chow or chow mix who is only 38 lbs who was brought in as a stray on 7/11 to the Seaaca shelter.
We are calling her Ebony but others have called her Boo on facebook. She looks quite young, but this shelter usually only gives an age range 1-5.
We were told she “came in scared but able to handle slowly, appears to be afraid of men, was running away and growling at male staff”. However, “as of 7/17, female staff member can handle, pet and leash, no signs of aggression have been noted, non reactive towards other kenneled dogs”
Unfortunately, because the shelter is so full, they are having to euthanize for space, and already told us she, “Must receive commitment no later than 2:00 pm 7/25/24 and pick-up no later than 2:00 pm 7/25/24, will not hold past 3:00 pm 7/25/24. No extensions will be given.”
Ebony/Boo can be adopted by the public, but due to her shyness, chow or Asian breed experience is recommended. We are also looking for a foster, or foster to adopt, we can refer to a rescue as she may need rescue very soon.
For direct adoption inquiries, please contact the shelter asap using her listing link: https://seaaca.org/adoptions/view-our-animals?page=2...
or by calling (562) 803-3301 and provide her ID.
However, please ALSO contact
[email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap who is trying to assist the shelter with her placement, particularly if you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt- so we can try to pair you with a willing rescue to help.
Rescues should call (562)803-3301 x258 and email
[email protected],
[email protected] and
[email protected].
If Ebony/Boo is not already spayed, this will be done for an adopter.
We will be updating her post with more pictures and video as we receive it: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10165603069118125&id=783968124
