My Story

Dylan is a very special doberboy who is looking for a very special home. This young Doberman was found wandering the streets with a broken leg. A good Samaritan picked up Dylan and took him to a local vet who x-rayed the leg and confirmed it was broken. Las Vegas Doberman rescue was called and the pup was released to rescue. We immediately consulted with an orthopedic surgeon and arranged for Dylan's broken leg to be repaired. The break was very bad and somewhat old so the prognosis was guarded. It took 3 hours for the doctor to repair the break and than with the use of lots of pins. Dylan was very emaciated and dirty when found, he only weighed 26lbs. This little boy has so much love to give even though he has had such a rough start in life. Dylan is very loving and trusting towards people and he loves other dogs and cats. He is totally house trained and crate trained and has very good manners in the house. Dylan is also very smart and is quick to learn, he usually only has to be told once. Well, things are looking up for Dylan! He now weighs in at 45lbs and his prognosis is very good that he will use his leg again. So far one pin has been removed and the rest should be removed in the next month. We will not be releasing Dylan to his adoptive home until all of his medical needs are fully attended to which should be around the end of March.
