Dutchess

Poor little DUTCHESS is a 7 year old shih tzu girl whose owner just passed, and there is no family available to take her in. She's fully vetted and only 10 lbs. Her foster is getting to know her and we'll report back but she says so far she seems friendly and okay with the other dogs in the home. Just obviously sad and confused at what's happened. We'll add more pics as we get them from her foster who is getting her settled. (Her owner's son did report that she was extremely protective of her owner and chased cats, but so far our foster has not seen any chasing of the household cats, and she's been very sweet. Although of course not bonded to the foster yet) Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
