I can tell you that I have never had dogs quite like these. They grew up dignified, learn very quickly, will put up with pretty much anything, and are good with everything: dogs, cats, horses, people, and children. In fact, one brother (adopted by my hair stylist) is the great favorite with the children in his neighborhood. They run to hug him when he is on a walk. He is especially fond of a six-year-old.
Dutch is not around children at home, other than the neighbors’ occasional visitors, but he does very well with them at adoptions. He is a little fearful because, when the pups were small, they had red mange. I kept them close until I’d gotten it cleared up. Took a while. They are fine now.
I have not had room in the house to bring them in, but they sleep in crates at night with no trouble and the parents of the three already adopted have reported that house-training was very easy. One person said the dog (his name was Ajax.) had one accident in the house.
Dutch is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on shots, wormed, leash trained, crate trained.
Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee is $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
