My Story

This adorably small but spunky dude is Duke, a 2-year-old Bichon coming in at 10 pounds of sweetness. This boy is best described as a happy, cute pup that LOVES people as well as toys (especially chasing balls and enjoying a stuffed toy), cuddles and walks. He is looking for a forever home that will give him as much love as he’ll be sure to give you. There hasn’t been a day since he came to his foster home, that he hasn’t made his foster family smile and chuckle with his cuteness, playing with his toys, other dogs, or sitting on their lap and giving hugs and kisses. Duke adjusts well to new surroundings but would best benefit from a home ready to provide some continued training as he is still learning the ropes. He is smart and will respond to continued correction so consistency is key. He is medium energy and easy to manage as he is eager and energized to go on his first walk of the day, but once back he’s ready for mellow vibes. Duke is a very good boy and fully house-trained! He’s also been good with other dogs so far and likes to play with the small dog next door. He generally is interested in dogs and is also a fan of cats it seems, but wasn’t overly interested so could be a potential fit. Duke has also hung out with children 8-11 years out and about and likely would do well with kiddos and children tend to enjoy his personality. If you’re interested in learning more about Duke and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below! https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/ Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
