DUKE was a shelter favorite in the shelter he was pulled from down south. They're out of space and he was slated for euthanization and the workers there could not let that happen - they begged us and said he is THE BEST boy, very sweet and friendly, great with kids and other dogs, and just 11 months old, It's always a wild guess in rescue, but some have said they see some Great Dane in his face and body, and he's a bigger boy, so we'll take a stab and say maybe retriever terrier with a pinch of Dane in him? But 100% loverboy. Fully vetted and ready to make someone's home just that much better. Loves riding in car and was great with his foster at the vet's. One of his best friends is a 140 pound Causasian Shepherd Dog, and he absolutely loves to play! He loves toys, especially stuffed animals and shares well with his dog-friends. He is about 80% housebroken - and has accidents when not taken out quickly enough but his foster is working on that. He is a really special dog and a great addition to any home. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
