My Story

Adoption - The Right Option - When Choosing Pets! . . .
Petnote: Duke is a 1 yr old (Birthday was Christmas day) purebred Great Pyrenees. He comes from a champion line and is just beautiful! He is neutered and UTD with his shots. He is just coming into rescue after a family gave him up when they moved to Fl he was adopted, but the husband was afraid of him. He has been to 3 different homes in 4 days now and we want to find him a permanent home to settle into. He was professionaly obedience trained from what his previous owners have said, he listens to commands, but can be stubborn at times. He loves to be outside most of the time, but ventures in to check on his human friends! He loves dogs, but my dogs are too small to play with him and he wants to play with them so bad. He plays with them by trying to pounce on them and I am afraid he will hurt them accidentally! He would do best with a home that has dogs close to his size. He did have two lab brothers in his old home that he has been with since he was a puppy. He also had two kids in the home, 8 and 11, but because of his size if you want to adopt him and have children, they should not be young children. Preference will be given to dog owners with Giant Breed experience. A fenced in yard is a must, Duke use to have 10 acres to run on! A home visit will be required to assure that Duke fits in well with everyone in the family!
