Would you like to see the dogs in person?

We will be at Pamida on Saturday September 27th from 11:30am-2pm (After the DSU Parade)! Dogs up for adoption will be there for you to meet and foster parents will be there to ask questions. Applications for adoption will be accepted but we do not do on the spot adoptions. Please call ahead if the weather looks questionable! See you at Pamida in Madison, SD!

Duke is a male chihuahua, he was rescued from a terrible dog auction. Duke is trying to be brave and trust humans. He will come up to his foster mom when she puts her hand out. We will update as we learn more about Duke!

Duke is neutered, utd shots, dewormed, heartworm tested. Our adoption donation for adult dogs is $200. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

Important things to know before you contact us:

If you are out of state, it does take time to process your application and find a home visitor from another rescue to do your visit. Please be SERIOUS about adopting a dog from our rescue before submitting an application.

The application is the first step. After we receive and approve a completed application, we will schedule a home visit.

Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.

We do not ship our dogs.
