Duke has found his forever home with Ann Marie and Ken F. in Barrington, NH
This sweet boy is Duke!! He came into rescue under unusual circumstances. His owner who was a 17 yr old boy was tragically shot one night before Christmas and Duke was left homeless. Duke was then cared for by the local Animal Control and while in their care Duke had been seen by two vets and both agreed that he is an American Bull Dog and the smallest one they have ever seen. He is 2 yrs old and weighs 35 lbs so he won't get much bigger. This is what his foster mom has to say------ Duke is just a WONDERFUL dog, walks great on leash and is very responsive to human companionship. He has high energy and is very playful, but not hyper! He has the typical bull dog personality and loves to be inside. He loves to curl up in bed or one the couch and watch TV with you. His foster mom says that he has the softest coat that she has ever felt on a dog. Duke does well with other dogs & has normal curiosity to cats, but not unfriendly. He is house & crate trained and does well with all children, but it is recommended that he go to a home with children 6 & older as his energy is high and he loves to play. He could possibly knock down a small child while trying to play. Duke has never shown any aggression and is unaware that something might hurt him, Very submissive. If this lovable and sweet boy is right for you please apply for him today. His adoption fee is $375.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to "do their business" outdoors.
