Duke

Hello there! My name is Duke, and I'm a four-year-old Lab and Pit mix with a heart full of love to give. I had to leave my last home because of some landlord issues, but I'm hoping to find a forever family who will welcome me with open arms. I'm a strong and energetic guy, and I absolutely love going for walks. I can be a bit unsure in new environments, which can make me a little anxious at times, but with patience and positive reinforcement, I can get more comfortable and show you just how wonderful I can be. I've been walked a couple of times by a father and son duo, and they had nothing but good things to say about me! One of my favorite things to do on walks is to sniff around and take in all the interesting scents. I might pull a bit on the leash because of my enthusiasm, but I'm working on it and getting better every day. I haven't learned many tricks yet, but I'm eager to please and ready to learn if you're willing to teach me. I'm a good dog with a lot of potential. I get along well with other dogs and have a decent amount of energy, which means I'd be a great playmate for another active dog. While I haven't had the chance to do any meet-and-greets with other dogs today, I'm looking forward to making new friends. I may be a bit strong, but with consistent training and lots of love, I'm sure I can become the best companion you've ever had.
