One day I was playing with my sister, Daisy, and my buddy, Rusty. My owner said, "Hey, get in the truck and let's go for a ride." He even had a sack of food for us in there. A leisurely country drive and dinner. Who could ask for more?

Well, that's exactly what we got--a one-way drive and a sack of food. That sorry human dumped us on a dirt road along with the food and left us there. He didn't care if we got hit by cars or eaten by coyotes. I hope I never see him again.

Anyway, this nice lady came by and put us in the car with her. We went to the vet and got a bunch of stuff done ( I don't want to think about what they did!!) but now we have the good life. A nice bed to sleep in, good food, water all the time, people to pet us. But I guess we can't stay here forever. This is only a "foster" home and we have to find permanent homes. I'm a little shy and my foster mom thinks I've been beaten a lot. I wish I could tell her everything that happened before, but she doesn't understand my language.

I'm a good boy and I like everybody (except my old owner). I even like cats if they're nice to me. I love to play and I especially like to be petted. I'm not used to a lot of affection and this has been pretty nice! Would you give me a great home forever?
