My Story

Doo do do doooo ?! Hear ye, hear ye. Introducing the lovely, the elegant, “Duchess” of Dunlap, first of her name. Beautiful and strong, Duchess is one incredible lady. She is just over a year old, 80 ish lbs. Said to be an Anatolian Shepard mix, Duchess ? is looking for a nice big fenced yard and some good belly rubs. She is rather sweet and seems to possess a calm demeanor. We are still learning about this awesome girl. She is believed to be dog friendly, as she has spent time playing nicely with others, though she may also be dog selective. A slow introduction to other dogs or a home as the only pet, would be great. Your Grace is looking for a family of adults preferably at this time. She is not the biggest fan of loud noises or rambunctious dogs, such as the current resident husky. If she is to live with another dog (cats not recommended), she will need to be fed separately. Though Duchess seems to be a real easy going gal, she will still need her exercise needs met and may eventually appreciate a job around the property. At this time, she is not a fan of a car ride. Duchess needs a little TLC and patience at this time, but her confidence is growing. Still learning basic commands, it is recommended that Duchess receive some training and would be best to go to an experienced dog owner. She walks pretty nicely right now, but she is a strong dog and will need to learn how to walk past distractions. She is a real cool little lady and deserves her own home to be doted upon properly. If you have the time and patience, you will quickly see how cool of a dog she is! This is not a dog that’s easy to come by. Duchess is still recouping from her spay and needs a little time for R and R, but will be adoptable very soon through Pet Pack Rescue Initiative.
