Poor Drystan has waited so long for his forever family at no fault of his own. He is a magnificent family dog that is truly all heart. He loves everyone, large and small including babies and cats. He knows how to come, sit, stay, bed and is 100% quiet! The only time he cries is when he needs to go out. He doesn't get on the furniture, counters or tables and is just fun to have around. This boy has been listed for so long because of the prior heartworm treatment he was never able to go "home" to a loving family. He has settled right in here chewing on bones and getting loves. Won't you be that warm cuddly mom or dad that he longs for? The one who will take him for long walks or jogs (he loves that)?
He is currently living with a 1 and 3 year old, a cat and dog and is doing FABULOUS!!!
This is Dryston. Dryston has found a foster home who is going to treat him for heartworms in Arkansas!!! But he's still available for adoption, and will be able to come to Maine in mid December -- if still interested, please send in an application! He could also use a sponsor for his treatment, which is going to cost about 200.00. If anyone can help sponsor any portion of his medical bills, we would greatly appreciate it!!! [email protected]
What a gorgeous guy -- beautiful, sweet chocolate lab mix.
He is scheduled to be put down due to the shelter having no space. He really deserves a chance to be loved.
Please send in a foster or adoptive application as soon as possible, so they have a home or foster to go to. Our foster homes are all full and we have no more space either. New fosters are encouraged to apply.

These animals are in dire need of homes. If you cannot provide a home, sponsors are welcome and needed for heartworm treatment and/or other medical expenses for dogs coming to New England. Foster families are also needed from time to time. Fostering a healthy dog or one that is in treatment will also save lives!
We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England. The adoption fee is $250.00 for altered dogs. $350. for unaltered puppies, with $100 refundable after spay/neuter. All Senior dogs 6 years or older have a reduced adoption fee of $200. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR) For more information, please visit our webpage at www.almosthomerescue.net
