DESCRIPTION: Rough coat, red colour with white, black shading on ears and eyes.

Drake was abandoned in rural Dallas County. Thank goodness his previous owners got rid of him because it turns out that he had a large wound hidden under his fur and is heartworm positive. Poor guy. We are so glad he is now in our care. Drake was shaved down to get rid of his thick coat so we could address his health issues, but it will grow back and he will require grooming services. He will be undergoing treatment for heartworms shortly and will be available in a few weeks. While he is recovering, we will still accept applications.

Drake is very good with children if all ages. He good with dogs of all sizes. He is also good with cats as well as other farm animals. He is the most loving dog; he wants to be right beside you. He is excellent in the house and is housetrained. He doesn't chew. He needs to be in a home where he can get a lot of love and attention. No outside kennel for this guy; he's a house dog.

The adoption fee for this dog is $175.

All dogs and puppies have been:
▪ altered (spayed/neutered),
▪ vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies, distemper combo,
▪ microchipped,
▪ tested for heartworms (negative unless previously noted),
▪ on heartworm preventative, and
▪ treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms.
