Darling Dougie!! Doug is the most charming and optimistic fellow ever. He is super athletic and would love to have a running partner. Doug spent several months at the shelter and even recovered from an upper respiratory infection early into his stay before going on last call due to length of stay back in Jan 2024. Volunteers deemed Doug a must-save and we could not agree more. When Doug met his foster siblings, he quickly assessed with whom and how rough he could play. He took cues from our dogs perfectly and behaved exactly as a guest dog should. Doug is so smart! He watched our dogs go through the dog door one time and had it down instantly. We have had some fosters stay for months and never figure out the dog door. He knows sit and shake and knows when it's time for him to go in his crate. Doug loves to climb things and would be an excellent agility dog. Doug is so loving. He leans into you and gazes up at you with those soulful eyes. He is going to make someone a perfect family pet.
