Hi, my name is Dory. The staff here at Homeward asked me to tell you my story. Unfortunately, here I sit in my senior years - this is not what I had planned. As an elegant, gorgeous lab I really expected more in my "golden years" - I was homeless in Spokane, and hate to admit - I put on a few pounds. They say with my age & obesity problem, that it might take some time to find my new home - I am hopeful that once you meet me you will fall in love! Meanwhile, I have started a weight loss program - I like to pretend that I am a contestant on The Biggest Loser, the battle is easier when you know you are not alone! It should be easy to shed these pounds as I love to follow my people around. I couldn't be an easier dog -I like other dogs, adore children and don't mind cats. I am housetrained & very well mannered on leash. I need a family that will devote time & energy to my weight loss program, in return I will give them years of loyal devotion & love - that's all I ask for. Is that enough to win your heart over & want to adopt me?
