Medical: Eye infection that is currently being treated, being treated for heartworm, severely underweight, and is having the cyst on his face removed... Dominic is neutered, up to date on his shots, and will arrive to his family as good as new in the end of December ;)
This poor boy! Both he and Nina are the victims of horrible neglect. They showed up to the pound and the staff was horrified- they see some of the most pathetic abuse cases, but these guys really stuck out to them. They are currently trying to find Dominic and Nina's former owner in order to press charges for animal abuse.
Obviously Dominic has a long road to recovery- but he has never been treated like such a king! The vet techs adore him- they said it is unbelievable that a dog that has been so obviously mistreated could be so very sweet. We are desperate to find him a comfortable retirement home where he can live in the lap of luxury for the rest of his life. Dominic's donation is $375 which includes his transport to the New England area along with his vet care to date including neuter, vaccinations and HW treatment. The cost to adopt both Dominic and Nina is $550.
