Dolly

Dolly has a huge personality in a small package, and is looking for her forever home! Dolly came to our shelter after being abandoned with very severe health issues, but she has now recovered and is ready to meet potential adopters. Dolly is incredibly affectionate, a certified 30 pound lap dog, who loves to cuddle and give kisses. Her favorite toys are durable chew toys like Nylabones, which she loves to chew on, or try and play tug of war with. Dolly is wonderful with people, but not great with other animals. We do not know her history as she was abandoned, but she has definitely had puppies, and was likely mistreated by an irresponsible breeder before being abandoned due to her health issues. She is very fearful of other dogs, and so we are requiring she go to a home without other animals. Dolly suffers from allergy related skin issues, and will likely need to be medicated for her skin condition for the rest of her life, but she has responded extremely well to treatment so far, and will likely just need a maintenance dose to manage any potential skin flare ups. Dolly has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, all of which is included in the adoption fee. She is also a member of the Handsome Dan's take my lead program, which means she is eligible for free behavioral classes to help her adjust to her new life outside of the shelter.
