My Story

Hi! My name is Dolly and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up as a stray by Animal Control and taken to a super scary place called a shelter where, after my stray hold was up and no one came looking for me, I ended up on something bad called "the list". A nice lady came and saw past my fear and got me and then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes! I appear to be a papillon mix and am only about a year old but past all of that puppy foolishness. I only weigh a little over 12lbs and will fit most anywhere; however, I am a little on the shy and skittish side and still working on learning to walk on leash so a physically fenced yard is needed for me to take care of my business. Once I have learned to trust you won't hurt me, I love being held and getting attention and you will have a friend forever. I have gotten along with all of the other small/medium sized dogs I have met and haven't paid any attention to the cats I have encountered. I've done really good in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of any bedding, but if I see or hear you I will let you know not to forget about me as I would prefer to be out next to you. I enjoy my food and take treats gently which will help win me over. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
