My Story

Dodger came into our care from the reservation. Dodger thinks he would make a superb lap dog, after a big walk and mental stimulation. He would do best with a family that is familiar with dogs and set firm boundaries for him. Keeping him engaged and active is the ticket to success with Dodger. He much prefers walks in quiet neighborhoods or where there isn't a lot of vehicular traffic, lots of cars and big trucks make him very nervous. He would also like it if you paid attention to him on the walk and kept him thinking so his nose doesn't get the better of him. He will let you know if you're not paying him enough attention and keeping his mind busy, no leisurely saunters for this Dodger Ball of energy! Dodger does great (if you give yourself an extra 5 min) to go in his crate when you ask him to, no treats even, but first he will see if you're going to play his game of tag, or catch me if you can. Dodger has a soft spot for small humans, around the 10yr old mark, not sure about kids younger than that as we haven't had him around any
