Dobby

This handsome boy is Dobby and he is ready to steal your heart with his affectionate nature and wonderful personality! Dobby is a 6 year old, 80 lb. Doberman Pinscher mix who is currently loving life in his foster home, but ready and eager to find his forever family. Dobby is learning all the ins and outs of the home life in his foster home and is already crate trained, house trained and a big lover of squeaky toys and comfy dog beds! Dobby also does well with other dogs (both big and small!) and wouldn't mind a social dog in his new home. Dobby has shown he is very tolerant and easy-going with other dogs, and doesn't even mind sharing his treats. Dobby has also been around children ages 3-10 and does wonderfully with them. While we don't know how Dobby feels about cats, given his demeanor, it's possible with slow and careful introductions, he could live peacefully with other dog-savvy cats too. A little about Dobby from his foster family: Dobby is going to make a wonderful companion for a very lucky adopter! He is very loving and likes to stand with his head in your lap. Dobby really enjoys being petted and rubbed. He likes to ride in the car or truck and loads up easily. I don't think Dobby had spent much time in a house before we got him, he loves it now! He seemed a little unsure and had a funny grin on his face like he couldn't believe he was really on the inside. He has since become very comfortable, loves all of the toys and the dog beds. He usually carries a toy around in his mouth. As the weather has gotten colder, we got him a coat. He seems to like it a lot. Dobby has a couple granulomas on his lower legs from compulsive licking. This is being treated with a topical spray, which has helped and mostly resolved these. Dobby has some loss of eysight due to his age, but you'd never know it! Dobby is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
