My Story

Ditto is a one year old German Shorthaired Pointer. When Ditto first came to New Hope she was very shy and scared, but is now learning to be much more confident! Ditto can be shy when approached by a new person, but will warm up in minutes! Ditto can be very excited, especially when it’s time for a walk or time to come out of her crate but is often very calm and relaxed. She is just as happy cuddling on the couch to watch a movie or play fetch for ages. Ditto is a very intelligent dog who learns new tricks and commands quickly. She knows sit, lie down, come, stay (working on this one still), shake a paw/high five and is currently learning spin. Ditto LOVES to play with tennis balls, especially her big one that squeeks.

Ditto likes being outside and going for walks or jogging. She like to have daily exercise and she is excellent on the leash. Off leash Ditto can become nervous with some dogs that are not polite about introductions. Can you blame her?? She ALWAYS comes when you call her.!! What a great dog! Ditto is excellent with well mannered dogs and enjoys playing with dogs she knows. Ditto is currently living with two cats and will play with them if they initiate. She seems to really like them! Ditto has been around older children (aged 10) and was very gentle and listened well.

Ditto is cratetrained, housetrained, spayed, microchipped and has all her vaccinations. Ditto is an incredibly sweet, gentle and loving dog who is looking for her forever home.

Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
