*adopted*FOSTER UPDATE.11/30/09.... We are enjoying fostering Diesel- he is good with dogs of all sizes- loves to play! He nuzzles the cats in the mornings and then moves on, they are just too boring. We have had him around small children and he was great. At home we see more the Lab personality-very bouncy and playful. In new situations he is well-behaved but shy, like a typical Sheltie. He knows off (for jumping up), sit, shake, lay down, kennel (for bedtime), wait (doorways), and we have started on stay. He is crated-trained and housetrained. There is nothing this puppy would love more than a permanent family to give him lots and lots and lots of affection. The second we sit down in the living room he becomes instantly calm and asks to be snuggled for a while. Diesel would lay with his head in our laps for hours if we had the time. Give this beautiful little black dog a chance! Diesel is a male Black Lab/Sheltie mix who was born around June 2009. His pet parents/owners are both undergoing some medical treatments which does not allow them the time to spend with this handsome fellow. Diesel has been around kids, other pets and has the disposition of a Sheltie which is sometimes shy and reserved. He is a very nice puppy who is willing to learn and already knows the command of shaking hands. He will be in a foster home with other pets too. Diesel is neutered, shots updated, wormed, treated for fleas and vet checked. A suggested donation of $100 will cover his medical work toward the adoption fee.
