Diesel is an approx 16-month-old husky/german shepard mix. His owner no longer wanted him and was going to take him to a remote area and shoot him. One of the children went to a neighbor and told her and she took possession of the dog. He is just about the sweetest dog ever. Neutered, house trained, and vaccinated. He is just a little leery of men at first, but will warm up quickly with some love and attention. He can sometimes be a little aggressive about his food when other dogs are nearby but a lot of dogs rescued are. He knows basic commands and is crate trained. A very nice dog. Gets along with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. We recommend no young children as we don't know his experience with them and he has good energy. Awesome on walks. Adoption requirements: homeowner with a secure fenced yard, no young children and you must be in a position in your life to make a lifetime commitment to him which could be 12-15 years. He deserves better than what he had. Send us an email telling us about your family, current and past pets and the environment in which he would live. Include a home phone number. Contract, home visit and $200 adoption fee.
