**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION!!** 7-13-24: HI EVERYONE!! My name is DIEGO, and I am sad that no one has asked to meet me in 7 months of being with my Mom!! You see, I have been with the rescue since early January, but Petfinder had some issues, and it erased all my progress that Mom had written about me! So starting over!! Well, I have been with the rescue since January, when Mom pulled my sister, Yara, (also available) from the local Animal Control where we were abandoned. At that time, we were 10 weeks old(DOB approx. November 2023). I am now 8 months old, am neutered, current on all my vaccines, micro chipped, and on monthly heartworm prevention! I am doing good on my manners, with the occasional wet/messy crate IF I am left in there too long. I do sleep in the crate at night and when Mom is gone. I am good on my manners as long as you keep me on a schedule. You see, I am one of those dogs that does not give you a signal that I need to go outside, so that's where you come in--keeping me on that schedule. I am currently about 22 pounds, a possible Pug mix, with what, unsure, but I have that Pugish snout. I have a beautiful shiny black coat, I love to play with other dogs, I know the SIT command, and I SMILE!! I am currently using a dog door out to the fenced in yard, where I run and play!
