Good in a home with
Dido is intelligent, energetic and loving. She came to us when her human died, and we were delighted to see that Dido had received loving care, including regular vetting and obedience training. (In fact, Dido had apparently won an award for obedience training at one point, although we haven't had a chance to test her on this yet.)
Dido is playful, lively and altogether delightful. She has her summer cut and this has allowed us to see the graceful beauty of her form, her intelligent facial expressions and elegant long nose. It is through our dealings with Dido that we are reminded of the true reasons why people cherish poodles -- their exceptional intelligence, sense of duty and immense personal charm.
Dido grew up in an adult household with another dog and we have not seen her with children; as a result, we would like to place her in a home without children under 12. Originally we had listed that Dido must be placed with the other dog she came with; however, we have since revised this opinion now that Dido is in a foster home with other dogs -- her attachment to her former "sibling" appears to be one of familiarity, rather than a deep bond.
Dido's ideal home would be one with previous standard poodle experience, with a fenced yard, someone home much of the day and with no young children. If you meet this requirement, please apply now for this wonderful dog.
