Diamond

Update 7/14/07 Diamond is a true Diamond in the rough. She is becoming a beautiful goofy boxer. She is still on the small size but she does not know that. Her hair is coming back beautifully. She wants to be near her person and loves to be in the house. She plays well with other dogs but does want a human to be near to dish out some kisses and pets. She is crate trained and doing well on the housebreaking. She is almost done with her mange treament. If you want a sidekick this is the dog for you. She does well in all situations. She knows simple commands and is happy to please. She is ready to lavish you with kisses. I want to take a moment of your time to introduce myself so everyone will know who I am. My name is Diamond and I'm a 9 month old spayed tan and white Boxer. My life started off kind of rough because my first owner tied me out to a tree when I was just a baby and left me there. My nice coat began to dull and one day some of my hair was missing. My owner took me to a local shelter and said he didn't want me anymore because I looked sick. The shelter worked to find a rescue group to save me and that's when a volunteer with S.A.F.E Animal Haven took me and said I would never know fear, hunger or pain again. The results from my skin test showed that I had Demodex mange, which is not contagious to humans or other pets. My first owner was not a very nice man which is the reason I'm afraid of men. In my foster home I have a mom and a dad. My foster daddy has shown me that not all men want to hurt me or treat me cruel and I'm slowly starting to trust men with his help. I'm gentle, quiet and love affection. S.A.F.E Animal Haven took me to the Vet and now I'm being treated for my demodex. My foster family loves me and tells me how beautiful my coat will be when I'm better. They say that I'm a true Diamond in the rough and I'm looking for my forever family. WE FINALIZE EVERY ADOPTION WITH A HOME VISIT THEREFORE POTENTIAL HOMES MUST BE WITHIN A HOURS DRIVE TIME OF CHARLOTTE NC. A FOSTER PET WILL NOT BE SHIPPED TO SOMEONE LIVING OUTSIDE THE ADOPTION AREA NOR WILL ANYONE BE ALLOWED TO COME PICK A PET UP FROM US. YOU MUST BE 21 TO ADOPT FROM OUR GROUP.
