My Story

Updated on June 26th: All of Diamond's medical needs have been paid for. Thank you to all who have help with Diamond. She is happy at her own home now. Updated on June 22nd: I went in to be spayed on June 21st and it was discovered that I was already spayed. However, while at the vets I had several seizures so I had a full exam and blood work done to see why. The vet discovered that I had several broken teeth that have gone into my gums. So now they had to perform oral surgery to fix my teeth and to make me well. So now I need to help my rescue group in raising $300.00 to pay for my vet bill. Please considering making a donation toward my bills! Right now we have gotten donations that brings the bill to $190. Thank you to those who have donated. Donations can be sent to Operation CARE of NC: PO Box 3206 Matthews, NC 28106 to the attention of me...Diamond. Thanks! Diamond was found when she had stopped traffic on a busy back road. She was pacing in front of a cement truck. A car finally stopped to get her to the side an let traffic continue. Diamond was soaking wet, slimy and crusty when found. She smelled like she had been in a swamp and had green slime on her. It took the groomer three baths to show off Diamond's beauty. She is a beautiful dog. The vet feels she is between 3 and 6 years old. She weighs 18 pounds. Diamond will need to be spayed and microchipped before she goes to her new home. Hopefully both can be done next week. She has had all of her shots. Diamond entered her foster home wagging her tail and without any fear. The other dogs did not bother her. She just walked into the middle of them and laid down. She loves people and will go right up to anyone entering the room. In the short time in her foster home she has yet to bark.
