My name is Dexter, and I am an adult male dog who is looking for a loving home. I am a sweet boy who is affectionate, smart, and loyal. I am very people-oriented and love to receive pets and all the attention I can get. Although I am not sure how I feel about other dogs, I promise that I will be a great companion to you. I am a bit of an explorer and love to sniff around, so I would enjoy going on long walks with you. If you are looking for a furry friend who will stick by your side through all of life's adventures, then look no further! If you are able to give me a home, please come to the shelter to meet me today! Once you submit an application online, it will be reviewed and our adoption coordinator will be in contact with you. This may take a couple days, especially with puppies, we tend to get more applications on puppies to sort through, so please be patient. Successful adoptions and placement of our animals is taken very seriously here at CCHS so, not every application will be approved.. We must make certain that each animal is placed in a home that best suits the needs of the animal and the needs of the family and home where the animal is being placed. As always, if you have another dog in the home, we do REQUIRE a meet and greet prior to final decisions being made by all parties involved. This has proven to be best for the animal and the potential adopters in attempts to prevent issues once getting your new pet into their fur-ever homes, as much as we love each and every one of them, we don’t want them to get returned. Our animals come up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed/neutered, however, we always recommend taking any new pet to your primary veterinarian for a well check to get them established for routine care.
