These babies were gotten out of Columbus County Animal Control on Wednesday. Originally there were six of them. I went to pound around 8:30 in the morning to save all six, but when I got there, four had already been adopted. I found out yesterday that the person who adopted the other four put them outside in his yard with several dogs including his pit (nothing against pits!). The dog killed three of them. He still has the other pup, but is keeping it in the house. I'm still crying about this! Those babies would have been better off at the pound than to have to go through all of that. Why on earth would someone put a pup this small and this young out in the yard? We have these two remaining pups up for adoption. Their adoption fee will include: first and second shot, bordatella shot, worming and spay. They are just so darn cute! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE TAKING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS, HOWEVER THESE PUPS WILL NOT BE RELEASED FOR ADOPTION YET. Even if your application is approved, the pups will remain at the foster moms home until they are a little older. Because of the horrific circumstances concerning these pups, I know that I will receive a ton of e-mails from people wishing to adopt them! Please be patient with us. I will be taking your information and I will be sending it to the foster mom. She will be the one contacting prospective adopters to let them know when they can visit with the puppies. There will be many interested families, but there are only two pups remaining. If you do not receive a return e-mail from her, please understand that she has a difficult decision to make and she may have chosen another family for them.
