Dera-adopted

Dera is a 5 month old puppy and will be medium sized we think when she grows up. She looks like she has some husky, shepher, border collie and maybe some heeler in there too.

What a wonderful puppy!! Dera is housetrained and knows how to ask to go out!! She is good all day in her crate and also sleeps through the night. She is so SMART!! She knows how to sit to get her leash on and has a solid sit when you ask her to. In one training session she pretty much figured out down and shake-a-paw. She is VERY food motivated and very easy to train. She's a really fun girl to work with.

Dera is a sweetie!! She enjoys affections and loves people!! She can be shy when meeting other dogs but it does not take her long to warm up and want to join in on fun. She is good with all sizes of dogs. Dera does well with children. She has been exposed to kids (6 and 11) in the home. She is happy to sit with them and interacts well.

Dera would like a family who is active and one that will put some time into training her and playing games. She'd do well at pretty much anything you wanted to do with her.

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
