Daytona

Daytona is a extended stay friend. Her adoption fee is $150. While Daytona may do well with the occasional puppy playdate, she would rather be an only child. She is required to be the only animal in the home. From Daytona's Doggy Day Out People: “Energetic” “Sweet” “Curious” “Loving” “Pup-cup lover” Daytona is a sweet girl with a big personality and a lot of love to give. She is very active and would love a home that can provide her with lots of exercise. On a doggy day out with one of our volunteers, she got to go on a long walk and get a pup-cup. She can be a bit of a strong “puller” when she’s excited, but calmed down once away from the shelter. She did great in the car and especially loved belly rubs. On her most recent Doggy Day Out, it was noted that she did great on the leash, loves car rides and loves people! Here is what our volunteers have to say about her: “Daytona did great on her doggy day out! She saw dogs from a distance and responded well. She loved going for a walk and stopped for lots of sniffs. She loved treats and her pup-cup!” "Daytona loves to sniff, she is a sniffing machine! She is calm and mellow. She loves people and is very friendly. She likes to lay down on car rides and likes to be independent." "Daytona loved being out on the town and was very curious of her surroundings. Loves attention from people and was very curious with kids and adults alike. She likes to watch/chase birds but didn't try going after the deer we saw while hiking. She got barked at by several dogs in a car while she walked by and didn't react at all, however she didn't like a small dog that we walked past at Riverside- nothing crazy but she wasn't fond of the other dog. Overall a very sweet girl!"
